We have a chance coming up for you to help save lives right here in the Greater Rockford Area with the 26th annual “Straight From the Heart” Blood Drive! We’re joining forces with the Rock River Valley Blood Center, Q98.5, and 97 ZOK to make donating blood FUN. The need is greater than ever so we’re clearing out the showroom to make a comfy space for you to help save lives on Saturday, February 12th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can pop in and learn more or book your appointment ahead of time right HERE!
First time donating? Thank you! Just a few things to remember.
- Bring your legal ID
- Eat a meal a few hours before your appointment
- Drink plenty of fluids
We’ll have some great tunes thanks to Q98.5 and 97 ZOK, swag for your donation, and everyone who stops in will have the chance to win a free oil change too! Yep, we’re making it fun to give blood. Plus every donation has the chance to save up to 3 lives at the 13 hospitals in the 815. That’s a BIG deal.
The available blood supply is at an all-time low so if you’ve considered giving before but never got around to it, now is the time! The RRVBC even has this nifty RUNDOWN of what to expect as they explain the process of giving blood and where your donation goes!
Did you just get your COVID vaccine or booster? You can still donate blood! Recently recovered from COVID-19, you can still donate! Community is key to the team here at Lou Bachrodt which is why we continue to provide funds and space for local organizations in need. We can’t wait to see you for the annual “Straight From the Heart” Blood Drive!
