Powertrain & performance

The 2024 Chevrolet Camaro features a base powertrain that matches a 335-horsepower V-6 engine with either a six-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission. For a performance upgrade, you can change the V-6 out for a small-block V-8. This upgrade will produce up to 455 horsepower.

Additionally, the 2024 model includes an optional dual-mode exhaust, a solid structure that enables highly precise handling, and electrically assisted power-steering systems.

Fuel economy

According to the EPA, the Camaro with the V-6 engine offers gas mileage of 18 mpg city and 29 highway. If you upgrade to the V-8, you end up with a slightly lower 16 mpg city and 26 highway.

Interior features

The Camaro’s interior offers a step up from the previous version, both in terms of material quality and comfort (especially in the front seat). There’s the option to add a heads-up display—which none of the Camaro’s leading competitors offer. You can also upgrade to add ambient interior lighting.

Infotainment & connectivity

The 2024 Camaro features an 8.0-inch, user-friendly touchscreen that runs Chevrolet’s standard Infotainment 3 software. This intuitive user interface is known for its responsive feedback. Additional standard features include a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.

Safety features

The 2024 Chevrolet Camaro features a number of available safety features. These include blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, forward-collision warning, and rear parking sensors.

Warranty & maintenance coverage

Chevrolet’s competitive warranty package includes a limited warranty covering three years or 36,000 miles, and a powertrain warranty covering five years or 60,000 miles. The first scheduled maintenance visit is free.

2024 Chevrolet Corvette: Features, specs, & performance

Now let’s shift gears (literally) to the sportier 2024 Chevrolet Corvette. For 2024 specifically, the biggest upgrades include a hybrid E-Ray model, three new colors (Riptide Blue, Cacti Green, and Sea Wolf Gray), as well as new wheel designs.

In terms of functionality, the 2024 Corvette features an electronic rear-view mirror, power operation for the rear hatch, as well as a suite of driver-assistance features.

Pricing

The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MRSP) for the 2024 Corvette starts at $69,995 and goes up to $86,645, depending on trim level and other customizations. Here’s a breakdown of price by trim level:

TrimPrice
1LT Coupe$69,995
1LT Convertible$74,895
2LT Coupe$77,095
3LT Coupe$81,745
2LT Convertible$81,995
3LT Convertible$86,645

Powertrain & performance

The 2024 Corvette runs on a 6.2-L pushrod V-8 that generates 490 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. The dual-mode performance exhaust that comes with the Z51 package bumps that up to 495 horsepower. This engine only pairs with an eight-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. This configuration will get you up to 60 mph in a whopping 2.8 seconds.

Fuel economy

According to the EPA, the 2024 Corvette provides 15 mpg city, 27 highway, and 19 combined.

Interior features

Like all sports cars of its ilk, the 2024 Corvette is a two-seater. It’s also lined with leather, real metal, and even imitation suede. The coupe roof is removable and fits inside the trunk behind the engine compartment.

Drivers have access to a 12.0-inch gauge display that you can configure and customize, as well as an angled touchscreen (more on that below). Both trunk areas combined total to 13 cubic feet.

Infotainment & connectivity

Like the Camaro, the Corvette runs on Chevy’s Infotainment 3 Plus system, using an 8.0-inch touchscreen as its user interface. Additional tech amenities include Bluetooth audio streaming, a 4G LTE mobile hotspot, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.

Safety features

Standard safety features on the Corvette include automated emergency braking, pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. You can also add on blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

Warranty & maintenance coverage

Like the Camaro, the Corvette comes with a limited warranty covering three years or 36,000 miles, and a powertrain warranty covering five years or 60,000 miles. Also like the Camaro, Chevrolet service is covered for the first visit.

Final verdict: Chevy’s 2024 Camaro vs Corvette

Obviously, it’s impossible to choose a winner. While the Camaro is more affordable and compact, the Corvette offers the stronger performance you’d expect from a sports car. At Lou Bachrodt Auto Mall, we’d recommend either one, depending on what you’re looking for.
